Welcome to the OFTC

The Optical Fibre Technology Centre is an interdisiplinary research department of the University of Sydney. OFTC is one of the few centres in the world with state of the art facilities for fabricating speciality optical fibre and fibre devices. OFTC provides opportunities for a large number of students, and collaborates with groups around the world in areas as diverse as astronomy, telecommunications, and medicine.
